Cuba ;Tropical Landscapes


LOCATION: tropical landscapes are in The country of Cuba is in the North America continent and the latitude and longitude for the country are 22.0289° N, 79.9370° W.

CLIMATE:Except in the mountains, the climate of Cuba is semitropical or temperate. The average minimum temperature is 21° C (70° F ), the average maximum 27° C (81° F ).

RIVERS:It flows on a total length of 370 km (230 mi) from the sierra maestra to the west and north-west, and enters the caribbian sea north of manzanillo. However, it provides only 110 km (70 mi) of transport waterway. Its water is not drinkable.

VEGETATION:The area of Cuba covered in forest actually only represents 8 % of the country. As well as the mahogany, cedar and ironwood trees, there are also the fruit trees bearing mango, guava, grapefruit, and avocado. It is said that Cuba has more than 70 million palm trees, this being the highest density in the world. The Cuban marshes are by far the largest in the whole of the West Indies.

FAUNA:The Cuban fauna counts with 42 species of mammals, 350 of birds, 121 of reptiles, 46 of amphibians, 2 947 of mollusks, 7 493 of insects and 1 300 of arachnids, none of them are poisonous for man.
